Carlos Candido serves as Senior Vice President, Technical Operations at Be Biopharma, where he is responsible for CMC strategy, technical development, manufacturing, and quality. In this role, he leads the end-to-end development and execution of CMC strategies to advance the company’s B Cell Medicines from early development through commercialization, ensuring scalable, compliant, and reliable delivery of therapies to patients.
Carlos brings more than 20 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience spanning technical operations, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. Prior to joining Be Biopharma, he held senior leadership roles at bluebird bio, where he led Global Patient Supply and External Manufacturing, and previously at Danaher, Alexion, Sanofi, and Biogen. Throughout his career, he has built and led high-performing teams, implemented robust operations management systems, and partnered closely with regulatory authorities to support clinical and commercial product approvals.
Carlos began his career in automation and process engineering and has progressed into executive leadership roles focused on operational excellence, regulatory readiness, and the successful delivery of complex biologic and cell therapies. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Northeastern University.
